BICSI seeking CT-001 representative
Peter Meijer, BICSI South Pacific’s representative on the CT-001 standards committee, has announced his intention to step down from the role. BICSI is seeking a suitable member to take on the role once Meijer steps down in mid-February.
The organisation is calling on BICSI South Pacific members with an interest in the role to formally nominate themselves by contacting the BICSI office as soon as possible.
BICSI is seeking a representative with the following attributes:
- A BICSI South Pacific member who is in good standing with the association;
- An ICT professional who is well reported on as a positive contributor to the advancement of our industry;
- A known advocate for best practice in all things involving ICT infrastructure;
- Holds one or more BICSI credentials, such as RCDD, or well along the process in securing a BICSI credential;
- Excellent current knowledge of ICT infrastructure standards such as AS/NZS3080, AS/NZS3085, AS/CA S008 and AS/CA S009;
- Minimum five years’ experience in a technical capacity in the ICT infrastructure industry;
- Technically competent to contribute positively to the development of industry standards;
- Skilful in writing regular standards updates and reports to BICSI to consolidate comments from BICSI members as comments on draft standards; and
- Ability to attend all quarterly CT-001 meetings and promptly attend to all correspondence/liaison between CT-001 committee and BICSI.
