NHP partners with Tozzi for MV switchgear range

NHP has signed an exclusive partnership with global switchgear manufacturing company Tozzi Electrical Equipment to bring its range of primary medium-voltage switchgear, including the QMTC primary switchgear, to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

The QMTC is a metal-clad, air-insulated, withdrawable switchgear for primary distribution applications rated 12–24 kV up to 3150 A and up to 40 kA/3s. The range is said to deliver reliability and safety features including Internal Arc Classification of AFLR up to 40 kA 1 and a true Visual Earth.

Featuring front and rear cable access as well as top or bottom cable entry, QMTC is a versatile switchgear for both greenfield and brownfield applications, easy to install and service. Equipped with the Tozzi proprietary Ecosmart vacuum circuit breaker, it provides assurance of full in-house expertise in switching technology and support capability, without relying on third-party vendors.

Fully Type Tested to IEC/AS 62271-200 and Annex A, this European-built switchgear is available in a wide range of ratings, features and options and can be customised to suit specific requirements for a project application. As a smart switchgear solution, QMTC can offer protection, control and IEC61850 communication provided by a single point of connection through multifunction protection relay of the popular GE/Alstom MiCOM and Agile ranges.

With a comprehensive range of medium-voltage solutions, NHP completes its offering with QMTC switchgear from Tozzi, all supported by local product knowledge, service and support.
