The Bosch Smart Home System connects devices in the home with the internet as well as with each other via a single system platform.

Users are able to intuitively set up and operate the system, which is modular and expandable, and is also able to connect with compatible devices built by other manufacturers. All devices connected with the system can be controlled and monitored from anywhere with the Bosch Smart Home app for smartphones and tablets. The app can act as a central display and control panel for the system and also allows users to plan the temperature for all rooms at an exact time, organise communication between devices and forward commands to the Bosch Smart Home Controller.

The smart home controller, which is linked to a router, is the central control unit of the system, connecting the components with the internet and each other. With the help of the window contacts, for example, the system automatically turns down the heating if a window is opened, saving the user energy and money.
