Eaton unveils Sydney Customer Experience Centre
Eaton today launched a new 150 m2 Customer Experience Centre at its Australian headquarters in Mascot, Sydney. The company will use the facility for internal training and to showcase and demonstrate Eaton products to end users and channel partners.
It is also designed so customers with specific power management requirements can test Eaton products in a live environment. The centre, which includes a presentation stage, integrated audio-visual system, demonstration screens and configuration for future video conferencing deployment, has been designed so specific equipment can be brought in for each particular event or training session.
“The Customer Experience Centre has been planned as part of our strategic initiative to support our IT channel and Data Centre Solutions business initiatives and coincides with the most aggressive product launch schedule in our local operation, and indeed in the industry,” said Michael Mallia, Eaton’s Marketing Manager Asia Pacific - Power Quality.
“It continues the company's strong track record of innovation and its flexible layout will enable the company to perpetually refresh the facility with new products as they are released.”
Eaton also used the occasion to launch its energy-efficient, virtualisation-ready Eaton 5P UPS. The 5P meters energy consumption, provides kWh values and key analytics through a graphical LCD, integrates with all major virtualisation software and is available as a tower or rack form factor for varied deployment applications.
The Customer Experience Centre showcases several new products, including the 5P. Visitors can also review a six-rack aisle containment system fitted with a range of Eaton UPS systems, transfer switches, rack power modules and ePDU rack power distribution systems.
In addition, an Eaton 27RU server rack cabinet has been equipped to demonstrate the features of Eaton’s IPM software in a virtualised IT environment. Key features include four Dell servers, a Kernel-based virtual machine and monitor and Eaton UPS and ePDU hardware.
Other products on display include the recently launched next-generation Eaton 93PM UPS. End users can also view a range of telecommunications power, outdoor roadside and DC telecoms power systems. Low-voltage power distribution systems and components are also on display.
Soon to be added to the Experience Centre are several key electrical power system backbone products and solutions from the company’s newly acquired Cooper Industries product portfolio. These include voltage regulators, capacitors, reclosers, switchgear, smart sensors and controls, as well as advanced metering, demand response and grid-point solutions suitable for the mining and oil and gas sectors.
