The KoCoS EPPE C8 power quality and power line monitor is a comprehensive electrical analyser in a panel-mounting instrument package suitable for applications that include busbar, feeder and individual load monitoring and power quality analysis.

The monitor has a 32 MB flash RAM and 2 GB data memory, as well as several communication ports to enable remote data acquisition and control, including USB Master/Slave; EtherNet (optical/electronic) TCP-IP; RS232/RS485 and an internal modem. Network Time Protocol and GPS inputs are available for synchronisation.

The instrument has four voltage and current inputs, 12 binary inputs, two dry magnetic relay outputs and two electronic relay outputs. Voltage is measured to 600 VRMS AC and current up to 40 A RMS AC directly or indirectly utilising current transformers or current clamps.

Parameters measured include line and phase voltage, line current, frequency, phase angle’, THD, harmonics, inter-harmonics, power (active, apparent and reactive), energy (active, apparent and reactive), power factor, form factor, crest factor and impedance. It also resolves unbalanced voltage/current values into symmetrical components.
