New battery training course

Thursday, 09 July, 2015

GSES has developed a new battery training course.

The Grid Connected PV Systems with Batteries: Design and Install course has been prepared and mapped against draft unit UEERE4002A* (Install, Maintain and Fault Find Battery Storage Systems for Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems) and draft unit UEERE5001A* (Design Battery Storage Systems for Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems).

It is proposed that, following acceptance by EOz of the above draft units, completion of these units will be recognised by the Clean Energy Council as an accreditation for the design and/or installation of battery storage for grid-connected PV systems. The course comprises online material including theory, quizzes and written answers; and a two-day practical component including theory revision and the hands-on installation of a battery system, testing, commissioning and programming selected multimode inverters.

This course is offered in three possible formats — GSES Design and Install Grid Connected PV Systems with Batteries (online and face-to-face 2-day practical course); GSES Install only Grid Connected PV Systems with Batteries (online and face-to-face 2-day practical course; GSES Design only Grid Connected PV Systems with Batteries (online).

Proposed dates for the course (to be held in Sydney) are: 19–20 August; 16–17 September; 4–5 November.

*These unit codes may change following final approval.
