Belden PROFIBUS industrial fieldbus solutions
Belden’s PROFIBUS industrial fieldbus solution includes cables, cord-sets, connectors to switches, I/O modules and junction boxes under the Belden, Hirschmann and Lumberg Automation brands. PROFIBUS applications include the automotive, food and beverage, assembly and handling, and mining and resources industries.
The Belden PROFIBUS solutions can withstand extreme temperature variations, high moisture levels, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference and operate over long distances.
The system is claimed to offer shorter installation times compared to using distribution boxes, reduced machine down time during maintenance and easier troubleshooting using in-built diagnostics.
DataBus cables are available in a stranded design for additional flexibility as well as a continuously corrugated aluminium armour product for additional protection.
Hirschmann products include PROFINET I/O switches, which offer switch management via the PLC and a range of fibre-optic PROFIBUS interfaces/repeaters for control systems.
Data communications are assured at transmission rates up to 100 Mbps through 360o continuous screening and field attach, protection rating up to IP67, 100 MHz circular M12 ethernet connector or microFX for fibre-optic applications.
Lumberg Automation provides PROFIBUS DP cordsets, cables, junction/distribution boxes and connectors in IP20, IP65 or IP67 ratings.
