Honeywell Fire-Lite fire protection systems

Honeywell has announced the Australian launch of Fire-Lite, a suite of fire protection systems designed to meet the needs of small to medium-sized buildings, mid-rise residential, warehouses and retail spaces across Australia.

The launch comes as Australia’s construction industry is expected to re-emerge strongly and expand by more than 2% annually between 2023 and 2026, according to a 2022 GlobalData report. This growth, coinciding with the completion of some of Australia’s most extensive construction projects, will spur demand for modern fire systems as businesses look to use technology to simplify fire and life safety management.

Fire-Lite’s customisable and intelligent addressable fire panels are designed to meet a range of building requirements, providing flexible solutions to support a variety of installations. Its range of devices encompasses photoelectric smoke, fixed heat, rate of rise heat, high sensitivity and advanced multi-criteria detectors, as well as manual call points, intelligent modules and specialty detection. The audiovisual (AV) fire notification features audio and visual alarm devices, speakers and a Grade-3 Emergency warning system.

Specialty detection and ancillaries include flame detectors, optical beams and standalone power supplies, all with backup components.

Fire-Lite integrates with the Honeywell Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS) platform that enables systems integrators and facilities managers to deliver an enhanced fire safety service. It can be installed by electrical contractors worldwide and meets relevant fire product standards including Australian AS 1670.1, AS 1670.4 and NCC requirements.
