The ACS850 industrial drive features an energy-saving calculator, embedded Modbus, drive-to-drive link, integrated safety and a removable memory unit.
The modules are designed for industrial applications such as extruders, cranes, pumps and fans in the 1.1 to 400 kW and 380-480 V ranges.
The energy-saving calculator indicates both energy consumed and saved (and their financial impact) and a duration curve shows the drive’s load profile. A fan control switches cooling fans off when the drive is not active.
The maintenance and diagnostics assistants provide advance warning of maintenance needs of the drive, motor or related components; assist in locating the cause of disturbances such as overload or overcurrent; restore the operation and give rectification advice, while a ‘Safe Torque Off’ function removes the torque from the motor shaft.
Enhancements include improved performance close to zero-speed without an encoder, low-motor-noise mode, higher output frequency and improved motor identification at standstill.
These IP20-rated drive modules are optimised for installation into cabinets. They can be installed side by side, allowing more drives to be placed in the same cabinet, or smaller cabinets to be used. Power cable terminals are located optimally for cabinet assembly.
