Moxa PowerTrans industrial ethernet switches

Tuesday, 01 April, 2008 | Supplied by: CrispTech Pty Ltd

The Moxa PowerTrans series of industrial ethernet switches are designed to meet the specific requirements of power substation systems, traffic control systems and railway applications.

Two models have been released initially, with more variants to follow later in the year. Currently available are the PT-7324 (24 x 100 Base-X) and PT7728 (24 x 100 Base-X and 4 x gigabit ports).

Designed to be 19" rackmountable, these switches feature ‘Turbo Ring’ technology with faster network fault recovery as well as Rapid Spanning Tree protocols.

Additional features include fanless operation at a wide temperature range of -40 to 85°C, dual redundant and integrated power supplies for high availability, EMI noise immunity, which allow them to withstand the extreme conditions and electromagnetic interference commonly found in substation and rail applications, modular design with high fibre-optic and gigabit port density and optional rear or front wiring for more flexible installation.
