Budget provides opportunities for installers
The announcement in the recently released federal Budget that small businesses stand to receive significant tax breaks for business purchases has already seen a flow-on effect of companies positioning their products for businesses to easily take advantage of the tax concessions.
One such company is Hills Industries.
Hills Head of Sales David Lenz said he welcomed the new measures, and the company will be helping its partners and installer base to make use of the deductions by developing security and sound system packages up to the value of $20,000.
“I know many of our partners and installer base will welcome the opportunity to make improvements to their own business infrastructure,” Lenz said.
“Hills has the product range to help them do that across the security and AV spectrum and what we will do from here is make it even easier for business by developing new packages specifically to support our customers to take advantage of this new arrangement.”
To be eligible for the tax breaks, businesses need to have an ABN and turnover of less than $2 million per year to claim tax deductions for items they purchase up to $20,000. The concessions are effective immediately and will run for two years.
