Fully funded training for electrical designers
Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is offering an Electrical Designer in Training program, which is available to electrical engineering students looking for a career in preparing electrical designs for traffic signals and lighting projects. Trainees will be working on challenging road and rail infrastructure projects in NSW.
Electrical Designers in Training will work full-time for Transport for NSW for four years while completing an online Associate Degree in Engineering, offered in partnership with Western Sydney University.
The program offers several benefits, including full-time work and salary while participants study; university fees paid in full; a book allowance for university studies; and study and exam leave. Participants will receive on-the-job training with development opportunities through internal and external training courses, and the opportunity to apply for a full-time position at TfNSW after graduation.
To apply for the program, applicants must have sound HSC-level knowledge of physics, mathematics and engineering studies, and be eligible to enrol for an Associate Degree in Engineering (Electrical) with The College at Western Sydney University.
TfNSW is looking for motivated individuals, team players, potential leaders and people with good communication skills.
People interested in applying should check for advertised positions on iworkfornsw.nsw. For more information, email: TSELTPGovernance@transport.nsw.gov.au.
