Master Builders simulation centre opens
Master Builders Australia’s Building Leadership Simulation Centre (BLSC) opens today. The $14 million BLSC uses 3D technology, a 15-metre-wide parabolic screen, 12 site sheds and a team of specialist actors to create a virtual workplace.
The centre offers a unique training environment for the building and construction industry, as employees can learn communication and leadership skills in a safe environment without the risk of delays, budget overruns and injury.
The Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research, Chris Evans, will officially open the centre today and will announce $1.9 million in federal government funding to support the facility.
Developers from the UK and Amsterdam have helped create 13 initial courses to run at the BLSC.
