“He served as President of the European Power Industry Association, COTREL and worked for ABB and Cooper Industries. Bertram holds a doctorate in industrial engineering and is a highly recognised, international Siemens expert on energy.”

Ehmann combines business leadership and technical expertise to drive changes toward sustainable energy solutions. He is passionate about clean energy and the opportunities before the Australian energy industry.

“I very much look forward to working within the Australian industry and to providing Siemens cutting-edge solutions to the range of contemporary energy challenges facing our customers,” Ehmann said. “The opportunity exists in the region to continue to usher innovative, new approaches to energy. There are ample, exciting opportunities across the energy conversion chain to support our customers in meeting the requirements of a changing future - whether they be in low carbon emitting power generation, high-power transmission links, intelligent smart-grid networks, energy conservation or transcontinental electricity markets.”
