New Norfolk Group Director of Business Development
Norfolk Group Limited, an integrated engineering group whose subsidiaries include O’Donnell Griffin and Haden, has appointed Tony Kutra into a new role as Director Business Development.
The appointment is intended to sharpen the penetration by the group into the growing markets of large rail infrastructure; resources, including oil and gas; and health and technology.
Glenn Wallace, Managing Director of the Norfolk Group, said Kutra’s appointment was a result of a strategic focus on growth sectors, which aims at supporting business growth of 10% in 2011.
Kutra comes to Norfolk with 16 years' experience with Dyno Nobel, a global supplier of commercial explosives products and services to the mining, construction and quarry industries. His most recent role with Dyno Nobel was as Group Executive, Strategy & Business Development, which followed his experience as Vice President, Ammonium Nitrate Operations, responsible for sourcing and manufacturing in Asia-Pacific.
“Tony’s appointment was undertaken in a strategic environment following Norfolk Group’s record revenue of $791.8 million, for the financial year ended 31 March 2010. The group also reported a record order book of $828 million,” said Wallace. “His appointment will cement the group’s focus on these developing industry sectors. He will also concentrate on merger and acquisition opportunities.”
