Q-Cells Australia continues operations

Tuesday, 17 April, 2012

Photovoltaics company Q-Cells Australia will continue operations, despite the preliminary insolvency procedure of its parent company, Germany-based Q-Cells SE.

“Q-Cells Australia is incorporated in Australia and financially and legally a separate entity from Q-Cells SE in Germany,” stressed Oliver Hartley, Managing Director of Q-Cells Australia.

“We will continue to serve our customers and partners in the same highly responsive way we have become known for. We are dispatching stock as usual and our warranties are in place.”

Q-Cells SE filed for insolvency on 3 April. The administrator aims to continue operations. Production at the company’s German and Malaysian plants is continuing.
