Teligence chooses Livingston as global rental partner
Telco contractor Teligence has selected test equipment sourcing specialist Livingston as its global rental partner.
Livingston’s rental capabilities will aid Teligence’s operations throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific regions, supplying such devices as optical time domain reflectometers (OTDRs) and optical spectrum analysers (OSAs), as well as chromatic dispersion (CD), polarisation mode dispersion and 1/10 Gb Ethernet testers.
Headquartered in Peterborough, UK, Teligence provides professional network services to OEMs and communication service providers around the world. Supporting multivendor solutions, it assists in large-scale deployment of both wireline and wireless network infrastructure for carrying voice, video and data. Its clients include multinational manufacturers of optical transport and switching equipment, carrying out projects for leading telecommunication operators in the UK, Europe and Australia.
“Teligence has worked with Livingston for over a decade in the UK and we are excited to now be expanding this collaboration worldwide,” said Teligence’s Operations Director, Russell Wyatt.
“Renting the test equipment we require via Livingston, rather than having to purchase it, gives us far greater versatility. It means we can address the demands set by the marketplace without being impacted by cost considerations - coping with fluctuations in demand and responding to any changes in the technology that must be supported.”
Livingston provides and manages test equipment for companies in more than 100 countries worldwide, giving them access to leading-edge products regardless of their budget constraints. Its services include rental, calibration management and inventory management.
Livingston claims that is partners are able to optimise their capital expenditure, bringing greater return on investment as well as generating cash for unused or underused assets through its equipment disposal and redeployment activities.
CEO of Livingston Group Mel Porter said, “Extending the scope of our relationship with Teligence underlines Livingston’s position as a truly global player, providing our service partners in more than 80 countries around the world with the advanced test tools they need to implement and troubleshoot new network technologies.”
