Tyco Electrical & Metal Products becomes stand-alone business
In November 2010, Tyco Electrical & Metal Products (TEMP) announced to its customer base that it was preparing to become a stand-alone business upon Tyco International selling a 51% share in TEMP to the private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R).
Now that this transaction has been successfully completed, the market at large is being informed. TEMP is now operating under its new parent company name, Atkore International.
The name Atkore represents the global businesses of the parent company. Over the next several months, the Atkore name and logo will appear in conjunction with a number of other companies and product brands owned by Atkore, which include Unistrut and Allied Tube & Conduit.
The company will continue to service the needs of the industrial and electrical markets, as well as introduce new products and enter new markets and geographies.
