BICSI South Pacific Conference 2010
The BICSI South Pacific Conference 2010 will be held at the Rydges Hotel in Melbourne, 19-21 April 2010 and will feature a conference, exhibition, workshops and product demonstrations.
The annual BICSI South Pacific Conference, now in its eleventh successful year, will attract in excess of 300 key delegates from around Australia, New Zealand and other countries in the South Pacific, as well as from other parts of the world.
The event’s focus this year will be on the major trends and challenges that are occurring or about to occur within the information transport systems (ITS) industry.
The three-day event will begin with the traditional ‘Industry Day Monday’ which, this year, will focus specifically on the topic of data centres, with a variety of presentations, discussions and debates throughout the day, along with over 30 exhibitors who will be showcasing products, services and technologies, as well as selected workshops and product demonstrations.
This first day is designed to enable businesses to send a number of staff throughout the day to participate in these seminars and to attend the exhibition to learn more about issues affecting them as ITS professionals. Visitors will be invited to remain at the venue to attend the BICSI 2010 Welcome cocktail party, to be held later that day. This will be an excellent opportunity for visitors and exhibitors to network in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The following two days will be held in a conference format, devoted entirely to dynamic presentations, a must for all those in the ITS industry to keep up-to-date with the latest issues, technologies and cutting-edge trends. The conference will feature case studies and real-life practical experiences from some of the best presenters in this industry.
Delegates will be able to focus on the crucial issues and standards that face the future of information transport systems worldwide and have their say in open discussion forums.
Keynote speakers have been drawn from all corners of the communications and networking industry, including end users, project management, commercial construction, information transport infrastructure, telcos, commercial fire, security protection and regulators.
At the end of the first day of the conference, delegates will be invited to attend the Casino dinner and after party. Judging by the results of these events at previous BICSI South Pacific conferences, this evening is expected to be a major success. Activities will include casino games like roulette and black jack, charity auctions and entertainment.
