Kurth Electronic KE7200 Ethernet Performance Tester

The Kurth Electronic KE7200 Ethernet Performance Tester is a tool that verifies and troubleshoots all types of Ethernet cable installation, from essential copper wiring tests to active IP Ping.

Its copper test capabilities include active TDR for cable length measurement and detection of split pairs, even on jumpers down to 2 m. It also shows multiple faults simultaneously. When testing for wire continuity, opens, shorts, miswires and split pairs, the device displays the length of the cable, and finds and displays network-connected devices with their IP/MAC addresses.

The instrument works with either DHCP or fixed IP services. Connected devices can be pinged one by one with selective frame lengths, while CRC errors are displayed if they occur. The product not only checks for ability of Power over Ethernet, but also detects the type available and what power level is supported.
