The KI 9600 pocket optical power meter is a pocket-sized tool, suitable for the majority of basic optical fibre testing needs that be securely clipped into a front shirt pocket.

The ruggedised instruments are moisture and drop resistant, and have a long battery life and a sunlight-readable display.

With interchangeable connectors, multi-wavelength referencing, multi-fibre ID tone detection and display hold, the unit is versatile while remaining simple to use.

The general-use InGaAs detectors suit all 600-1650 nm applications with a fibre core diameter up to 200 µm. A number of alternative detectors are available for other applications, including high power detectors, large area detectors, a wavelength selective detector (for PON use) and Si and Ge detectors.

The instrument is claimed to be highly accurate, with each instrument receiving genuine 2% traceable calibration at nine wavelengths.
