The redesigned Schroff MIDAS cabinets house a variety of 19 or 23 rackmount equipment. They feature a fully welded, heavy-gauge steel frame, providing the ability to mount equipment, cable management, active cooling and other accessories.

Preconfigured models are available in six standard sizes and engineered solutions are also available.

Models range in size from 23 to 48 RU (1200 to 2100 mm) high, 600 to 700 mm wide and 800 to 1000 mm deep. The 700 mm wide communication cabinets can accommodate either 19 or 23 equipment and cables, and can be easily changed in the field. The 600 mm wide server configurations offer square-hole rack angles for 19 rackmount equipment. Cabinets without windows are UL 1863 rated to a loading capacity of 453 kg, with a 4X factor, and all cabinets are RoHS compliant.

These general-purpose cabinets are suitable for a broad range of applications, including small to mid-size companies, schools and universities, remote network equipment applications and for basic network equipment protection. The cabinets can be used in industries and markets such as OEMs, VARs, networking, security, information technology, test and measurement, medical and general electronics.

Fan kit provisions are included and accessories include vertical and horizontal cable managers, shelves, PDUs, thermal management accessories, castors and levellers. Door options include window, perforated and split-perforated and modification services are available.
