StruxureWare Data Centre Operation Suite v7.1

Schneider Electric has introduced the StruxureWare Data Centre Operation Suite v7.1, featuring updated and flexible change management with a customisable approach to workflow management and maintenance processes.

According to Schneider, the Suite helps IT managers ensure that all organisational policies and projects are easily implemented and universally applied within the data centre. It provides end-to-end Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software, for monitoring and operating power, cooling, security and energy usage from the building through IT systems, to give users visibility and control over their data centre’s daily operations.

The Suite also offers an integration with BMC Remedy Change Management, part of the BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite, and helps relevant information flow between the two systems.

Customisable workflow templates allow users to adapt individual work orders to ensure that organisational policies and projects are easily applied to moves, additions and changes within the data centre.

Scheduling of service and equipment maintenance provides visibility to service plans, to ensure service windows are planned and scheduling conflicts are avoided, and a live dashboard, consisting of easily configured, customisable web dashboards, provides increased transparency to data centre key performance indicators.

Branch circuit monitoring supports live measurements from branch circuit monitoring to calculate capacity utilisation if no metered PDUs are available. A DCIM migration service is available, enabling migration from DCIM systems to the StruxureWare Data Centre Operation Suite.
