Upgrading a network from 1G to 10G often means buying all new tools to have adequate monitoring and to avoid oversubscription. That is not the case with VSS Monitoring, which allows 10G networks to be monitored by 1G tools - avoiding costly and disruptive upgrades.
VSS network traffic delivery systems are designed to capture network data from 10G connections, at full line rate, and filter the traffic so monitoring tools see the traffic of interest and avoid oversubscription.
VSS network traffic delivery systems use selective hardware-based filtering, high data burst buffers and session-aware load balancing to help users: monitor 10G networks with existing 1G monitoring tools; reduce CAPEX by expanding the lifetime of existing 1G tools; eliminate tool oversubscription and dropped packets.
