LED wall dominates at Crown Melbourne
A 52 m2 LED wall has been installed at Crown Melbourne casino and hotel — a new audiovisual innovation consisting of over 500,000 individual LEDs.
Staging Connections has announced that the VuePix E series Pro LED Wall has been added to the Palladium at the Crown casino and hotel, which they say will provide event attendees with a revolutionary visual experience of colour, brightness and intensity.
“We’ve been the in-house AV supplier to Crown Melbourne since it opened in 1997 and in that time we have ensured that the venue remains at the forefront of event technology in Australia. We are excited that we can bring this new piece of industry-leading technology to the venue so together we can continue to create unforgettable events,” said Andrew MacColl, director of event technology, Staging Connections.
“The impressive 14.4 m x 4 m display comprises over 500,000 individual LEDs and will provide the perfect virtual set for event designers seeking a unique visual impact.”
With a brightness rating of over 3500 nits (over 10 times that of the average home television), the wall leverages the power of the LEDs to enliven the room with dynamic animated backgrounds for performance pieces.
The wall can also be safely rigged or stacked as either a complete wall or as a series of smaller displays, transforming the ballroom into a digitally immersive event space.
A spokesperson for Crown Melbourne said the LED wall will enable bespoke digital solutions, transforming how events use visual content to engage with attendees.
