Compact fluorescent bulb

Sunday, 15 July, 2007 | Supplied by: GE Lighting

GE Tiny is small enough to directly replace both standard and decorative incandescent bulbs such as candles or small rounds, or use in other small fixture types, but with greater energy efficiency.

The super-slim spiral tube technology, GE's slimmest ever tube, makes this bulb up to 50% smaller in size than regular compact fluorescent bulbs.

Spiral design is claimed to deliver approximately 20% more light and therefore produce more light per watt of power used (excluding the influence of the luminaire used) and have a rated life of 8000 h.

This bulb is claimed to be approximately 20% brighter than standard CFLs of the same wattage to save money by using fewer lamps and fixtures, or have a brighter environment.

The bulb is currently available in 8 and 12 W versions, in warm white, cool white and daylight colours, with a choice of bases including B22, E27, B15 and E14. Future releases of the bulb will include 15 and 20 W versions.
