Control4 EMS 100 energy management system

The Control4 EMS 100 energy management system enables home occupants to monitor and modify their energy usage via an interactive in-home 5″ colour touch-screen display that also communicates with smart meters.

The system delivers usage data via the smart meter and a standards-based platform that can control virtually every ZigBee device in the home, such as powering downlights or adjusting shades to reduce energy use.

The system aggregates energy usage data from various loads and presents it to occupants so they can make changes to reduce energy usage, or it can be set up to do it automatically.

Network Management software enables the monitoring, optimisation and reporting of all deployed energy controllers.

Energy Consumption Optimiser (ECO) software collects, analyses and compresses energy use and behaviour data on the EC-100, then communicates with the utility’s load management software to treat demand response events as a dispatchable resource.

The software platform is secured through ZigBee SE, SSL and OpenSSH technology, allowing third parties to develop new applications to provide enhanced functionality to the system over time.

Using ZigBee, Wi-Fi and ethernet standards, the system enables homeowners to control and automate their thermostats, lights, spa or pool, sprinklers and more, to manage power usage through one interface.
