GE Lighting’s 4 W GU10 LED retrofit lamp consumes only 4 W of power and is claimed to enable 80% energy savings to be achieved over conventional 50 W GU10 halogen lamps and provide a vastly longer operating life of 15,000 h.
The lamp is designed to retrofit into international standard size and shape reflector-lamp GU10 light fittings to provide numerous benefits, including savings in energy and maintenance costs, as well as reducing users’ environmental impact.
The lamp is claimed to be the first LED product to win Energy Saving Trust (EST) approval.
The EST considers only the highest-performing products that make a significant contribution to energy savings. All products have to be verified by third-party test laboratories to gain EST approval.
