The ‘Low Glare Power Saver’ range of downlights offers energy savings and easy installation for commercial and domestic projects.
The fittings are supplied with Nelson Alladin energy-saving lamps, claimed to consume up to 80% less energy than the equivalent incandescent wattage.
Seven models are available in different sizes in both white and brushed chrome finish. Three models feature a sealed glass front that provides low-glare lighting with an additional model available with a protective cover to reduce sound transmission and contact with insulation, also providing a soft, low glare light.
The fitting features a horizontal lamp position, which is especially useful where roof space is limited. The 200 mm clearance (per ASNZ 3000-2007) is not required, allowing the fixture to be installed directly against and underneath thermal insulation. The sealed glass front lens also effectively reduces heat transfer into the ceiling.
For added convenience, the MALC5 version of the power-saver downlight installs into most existing ‘twist lock’ gimble ceiling holes.
