The Xe Hybrid Convertible lamp component system combines the efficiency and long-life aspects of CFL and LED lights with the instant full brightness, colour quality and dimmability of incandescent lights. The system separates lamps into three individual parts: a re-usable glass top, a replaceable filament capsule and a re-usable base (ES, BC, etc).

Users choose a glass top to provide the required lamp type or shape, then either a frosted or clear filament capsule for the required brightness and then a re-usable base to suit the fitting. The capsule clips into the base and the re-usable glass top then screws onto the ceramic base to complete the lamp.

The range, consisting of 22 different glass tops, includes the most popular shapes, and several candle shapes and P45 Lustre options, available in clear, frosted, gold and coloured finishes. The various tops fit all of the seven ceramic base options.

The glass tops and ceramic bases are re-usable, so instead of disposing of a complete lamp when the filament fails, the only part of the lamp that needs replacing is the filament capsule - which is 100% recyclable.

The Xenon Power Saver Filament Capsules provide 5-6 times longer life than standard filaments, while producing more light per watt. The 75 W capsule provides the equivalent brightness of a 100 W incandescent, while the 15 W is similar to a 25 W incandescent. The capsules are available in 15, 25, 40, 60 and 75 W power ratings, in both clear and frosted finishes.

They are free of mercury, lead or dangerous chemicals and are RoHS compliant.
