Vibe T8/T5 retrofit fluorescent tube converter kit

The Vibe eco-friendly T8/T5 retrofit fluorescent tube converter kit allows a thinner, more efficient 28 W T5 fluoro tube to replace inefficient 36 W T8 fluorescent tubes, with a claimed 35% improvement in energy efficiency.

The converter kit features electronic ballasts that make stuttering starters redundant, while delivering high levels of light stability.

The kits eliminate any flicker or hum commonly associated with tubes equipped with standard magnetic ballasts and have a 25,000 h life - up to three times longer than T8 tubes.

The converters are available in a variety of wattages matched with tube lengths: 14 W - 600 mm, 21 W - 900 mm; 28 W -1200 mm; and 35 W - 1500 mm.

There are two choices of kit which are supplied with or without an optional high-grade reflector to focus white fluorescent light on the task at hand and help reduce instances of fatigue and eyestrain associated with flickering tubes and dim lighting.

The converter does not require any re-wiring or modification or any special tools - simply remove the old tube and standard magnetic starter ballast and install the adapter and lamp.

Other features of the kit include triphosphor tubes for full colour spectrum light output, 83 CRI for better colour reproduction, high colour temperature for better visual acuity and 0.96 power factor for more efficiency.
