Warm white LED downlights

The Alya series downlights from 3Style Architectural Lighting offer a soft, warm light similar to that of incandescent lamps.

The downlights use violet GE Vio high-powered LEDs that excite a blend of phosphor coatings to produce a broad spectrum, 85 CRI light that includes red wavelengths. In contrast, typical ‘white’ LEDs are blue LEDs directly covered by a yellow phosphor, which glows with a spectrum centred about yellow, giving an appearance of white, but lacks red wavelengths so it can look greenish, so warm colours such as red won’t seem vibrant and may appear dull or brown.

The Vio technology provides consistent light in 3000, 3500 or 4100 K temperatures and colour stability throughout the life of the installation with less than 75 K shift over 50,000 h, making them suitable for use in display lighting where colour rendition is very important.

The luminaires are available in 40°, 90° or 115° symmetrical optical distribution beams and are fitted with a 3.6 W LED that enables a one-for-one replacement of up to 20 W halogen, yielding a reduction in energy consumption of up to 80%.
