Docking station connector

Thursday, 09 July, 2009 | Supplied by: Harting (HK) Limited

The Han-Modular docking frame enables a docking connector in the IP20 range to be set up without a housing, for use in insertion processes, such as racks in switch cabinets, that are not hand guided.

The system allows users to select and assemble their customised electrical, optical and gaseous signal connectors themselves to suit a range of industrial applications.

A rack cassette can be inserted into a cabinet while the connector sides are guided together blind and securely inserted. This is achieved by a floating frame which can move freely in a range of ±2 mm. At the same time, stable leading centring pins/bushes ensure that the two connector sides are securely connected to each other.
