Energy-efficient UPS

Monday, 02 February, 2009 | Supplied by: Eaton Electrical (Australia) Pty Ltd

The Powerware 9130 series of UPS is designed to help users carry out green initiatives in IT environments. The 700-3000 VA UPS models are available in rack and tower formats and feature a high-efficiency design that is claimed to save energy without sacrificing reliability.

The UPS features a 0.9 output power factor for delivering full power to equipment that may have a wide range of leading and lagging power factors. Designed to support servers, networking equipment, telecommunications, VoIP and security systems, the UPS delivers clean, continuous power to protect equipment from power anomalies.

Utilising a double-conversion design, the UPS continually monitors power conditions — regulating voltage and frequency — to provide pure sine wave power that modern equipment requires.

Additional features include a simple-to-navigate display that shows important status and troubleshooting information, including run time and load and back panels to accommodate a mixture of IEC and Australian receptacles.
