The Exair CE-compliant cabinet coolers are claimed to be a low-cost means of purging and cooling electrical control panels and suitable applications include cooling PLCs, microprocessors, variable frequency drives, industrial computers and robotics.
The cold air is circulated through the enclosure to eliminate heat damage and control shutdown and the compact coolers can be installed in minutes through a standard electrical knockout hole. They convert an ordinary supply of compressed air to cold -7°C air without refrigerants or CFCs.
The cabinet cooler systems include a compressed air filter to ensure no moisture or dust is introduced inside the panel and an optional thermostat control to minimise compressed air use.
Cooling capacities of up to 5600 Btu/h are available and the cabinet coolers are UL listed and are NEMA 12, 4 and 4X rated for the electrical enclosure. There are no moving parts to wear out and no maintenance is required.
