The Jack Evo handsaw is suitable for applications including overhead fascia and rafters, removing bottom plates, roughing-in plaster, demolition work, cutting PVC piping, making extreme mitre cuts in custom installations and all types of standard, general-purpose sawing.
Its handle-to-blade design is claimed to provide a virtually bind-free action and gives the user a saw that has coarse-cut speed with a fine-cut finish.
The handle-to-blade design converts energy directly into full blade strokes, cutting through virtually any building material offering speed, comfort and ‘ease of start’.
The specially designed handle, combined with universal triple-ground tooth design, eliminates binding and is claimed to cut three times faster than traditional handsaws.
It features: an optimised blade shape, with integrated 90 and 45° marking guides, made from 0.85 mm British C75 steel; and a water-based lacquer that is claimed to provide four times better rust protection for the blade compared to traditional lacquer.
The hard-point teeth, which are claimed to stay sharp six to eight times longer than non-hardened teeth, have triple-edge grinding, resulting in an aggressive configuration that cuts both along and across the grains of wood. This enables the saw to cut on both push and pull strokes, while an optimised tooth design and set increases versatility, speed and quality of cut.
Its handle is made from lightweight materials which are ultrasonically welded to the saw for a durable finish and incorporates a finger rest, providing good grip and support.
The saw is available in 375 and 525 mm sizes.
