The ASCO transfer switches deliver a solenoid operating mechanism for the high-speed transfer of loads between alternate sources of power. Combined with a programmable controller, they facilitate advanced methods of transferring many types of loads, such as motors, electronic drives, UPSs and microprocessor-based systems to mitigate interruption or complete loss of electrical power.
The switches are available open or closed and in sizes from 30 to 4000 A. All switching configurations are available with an integrated bypass-isolation switch and/or rated for use in service entrance applications.
Combined with Emerson’s ‘SiteWeb’ client-server application, which requires no software to be installed on the client computer, the switches provide a comprehensive intranet and internet communication system for the monitoring and control of power transfer switches and engine generators located in emergency or standby power distribution systems.
