DW960 is angled at 90° for use in tight situations. It is powered by an 18 V battery that produces 300 W of power output.

The drill features a fan-cooled motor that delivers up to 33 Nm; right-angle transmission with sealed ball bearings and cut steel gears; forward, reverse and variable speed control; electronic motor brake; multi-grip trigger; and keyless chuck with 1.0-10 mm capacity.

The tool fits 2.0, 2.4 and 3.0 Ah batteries and weighs 1.4 kg.
