Product recall - Virgin Mobile Australia Yatama Power Bank PB017

Wednesday, 13 May, 2015

Virgin Mobile loyalty program customers who received a power bank portable charger are being advised to thoughtfully dispose of it immediately, including the USB cable supplied. A potential manufacturing fault in the device’s battery can lead to overheating and, in extreme cases, could pose a fire hazard.

While Virgin Mobile is writing directly to all affected consumers and has also publicly requested that customers immediately cease using the product, keep the device out of the reach of children and arrange suitable e-waste collection. See the Cleanup website for more information on e-waste disposal.
