Safety recall - Ford Falcon and Territory

Ford Motor Company of Australia

Thursday, 19 February, 2015

Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited has issued a recall on certain FG11 Falcon Sedan/Utility and SZ Territory vehicles built from 12 November 2013 through 13 October 2014.

There is potential for the ignition switch electrical connector to disengage on some vehicles. If this occurs, the engine will stall and electrical functions will be lost, meaning that the vehicle cannot be restarted.

The vehicles were sold nationally through authorised Ford dealers and consumers will be contacted in writing by Ford. They recommend that until a safety recall service is completed, the Steering Column 'Tilt' and 'Reach' positions are not adjusted, as this may reduce the engagement of the electrical connector. Owners are advised to contact their Ford authorised dealership for inspection and rectification.

For further information, contact any authorised Ford Dealer or Ford’s Customer Relationship Centre on 1800 503 67.
