Toyota slashes spare parts prices
Toyota has reduced the price of key mechanical components by up to 38% (as compared to March 2016 recommended retail), according to a recent media release.
The company says a late 2015 price realignment on a range of crash parts, including bonnets, fenders, headlights, fans and steering racks, resulted in a 24% piece volume increase. Now, drive train hardware parts including cylinder heads, engines, transmissions and front-wheel drive (FWD) shaft assemblies have also been reduced, as have elements including radiators, condenser coolers and compressor assemblies.
Toyota Corporate Manager – National Parts and Service Wayne Gabriel said the new pricing program is a plus for Toyota Genuine Parts customers and Toyota owners.
“We’re determined to make the safety, performance and durability benefits delivered by Toyota Genuine Parts available for the lowest possible price,” said Gabriel.
“This pricing strategy means repairers can buy genuine at the right price, knowing the part will fit first time while delivering factory-spec quality to their customers.”
