Australian mobile brand Aspera has announced its new ruggedised 4G flagship: the Aspera R6. Fast, powerful and tough, the company claims the R6 makes no compromise on outright smartphone performance in adding IP68 certification for total dust protection and water protection at more than 1 m for 30 min. The R6 comes with Gorilla Glass 3 for ultimate screen durability and a ruggedised, shock-resistant outer body. Supercharged with a 1.7 GHz Octa-core processor, dual-band Wi-Fi and fast 4G data speeds, the R6 runs Google’s Android OS (v4.4.4 KitKat). The R6 also packs a 3300 mAh battery, high-resolution 13 MP rear camera, 1200 x 720 HD display and dual-SIM functionality.
The R6 follows the Aspera 3G R5 model, which was launched in November 2013.
