SATEC’s Branch Feeder Monitor Multifunction Power Meter Series offers metering capabilities for up to 36 current circuits within one device. Retrofit capabilities using split core current transformers make the SATEC BFM136 suitable for energy management solutions for existing commercial buildings, data centres, shopping complexes and hospitals for providing cost allocation for submetering needs. SATEC’s BFM136 provides a cost-effective solution per metering point for energy management applications including NABERS-related energy-efficiency solutions.

The monitoring of lighting and power circuits can be achieved with the use of the BFM136, reducing real estate space compared to discrete metering, reduction in electrical wiring, reduction in communication wiring with the RS845 port or the ethernet communications providing an efficient broad band for the transferring of data.

The BFM136 along with SATEC designed high accuracy current sensors (HACS) permits accurate measurements of current loads well below 5% of the full current range of the HACS.

Energy allocation along with profiling of demand, power factor, voltage, current, frequency and other electrical parameters can be sent to SCADA, BMS, EMS and PLC systems via RS485 or optional ethernet communications supporting Modbus protocols.
