The Fluke 990DSL CopperPro Series II Broadband Loop Tester handheld test set is designed to assist data cabling technicians qualify, troubleshoot and determine the fault location of POTS, ADSL1/2/2+, VDSL, HDSL, HDSL2 & 4, ISDN, E1 and DDS communications services.

The test set is claimed to carry out ordinarily time-consuming test procedures with the touch of one button.

The test set replaces up to 16 traditional test sets to troubleshoot and qualify lines for POTS, ADSL and other cable services, conducting tests on voltage, opens, shorts, balance, RFL, VF noise and loss, troubleshooting, fault location, terminated and dial-up tests, as well as load coil detection and line monitoring.

The instrument also features a time domain reflectometer that allows precision fault location and is supplied in a compact and weather-resistant housing for field operation.
