The FLIR GF309 infrared camera for high-temperature industrial furnace applications can ‘see through flames’ in all types of gas-fired furnaces, chemical heaters and coal-fired boilers.
The camera features a detachable heat shield designed to reflect heat away from the camera as well as provide increased protection for the operator.
The camera has a wide temperature range of -40 to 1500°C that provides accurate readings across the entire surface of the heater/boiler/furnace, speeding up inspections, making work conditions safer and helping avoid unscheduled shutdowns or emergencies.
It can deliver clear and precise thermal images of ‘fired tubes’ for coking and scaling, inside boilers for slag or ash build-up, burner alignment and flame impingement and external fire boxes.
It is compatible with FLIR QuickReport and Reporter software for professional inspection reports.
The dual-use camera can measure both furnace and ambient temperatures and features a built-in video recorder that stores radiometric sequences for full inspection of dynamic events, a tiltable 4.3″ high-resolution (800 x 480) colour LCD viewfinder, rotating handle, direct-access buttons, <25 mK thermal sensitivity and embedded GPS data and digital images to identify precise locations of the inspected area.
