VeSion OX4000 series optical switches

Part of the VeSion system, the OX4000 series optical switches provide reliable, fast and repeatable performance. Units can be controlled via built-in keypad or remotely via RS232 or Ethernet remote fibre test systems (RFTS).

Platform highlights include 1 x 8, 1 x 16, 1 x 24, 1 x 32, 1 x 64 and 1 x 128 configurations; LCD screen with auto-off backlight displays current channel and related information; RJ45 Ethernet port supports switch admin functions; RS232: DB9 communication port for PC connection; automatic scanning capability available; high reliability and lifetime >10 million cycles; high-quality, low-reflectance SC/APC adaptors; and dual AC and dual DC power supply options.

Key features include low insertion loss, <1.5 dB typical (<128 channels); fast switching time, <10 ms for adjacent channels; protocol and bit-rate independent; singlemode fibre support; wideband wavelength operating range; low reflectance and ORL; and 1625 nm and 1650 nm wavelength support for in-service monitoring applications.
