TechRentals turns 40

Test and measurement company TechRentals has turned 40 this year.

TechRentals is part of TR, an Australian-owned company that delivers specialised technology solutions to industrial, corporate and government clients. TR also owns TR Hirecom (two-way radio communications), TR Telecom (satellite phone and data), Vidcom (audio visual/staging rental) and TRVMS (test and measurement equipment calibration).

TechRentals began servicing customers with the sale and repair of electronic equipment in 1974. “It became evident that what you really required was flexible instrumentation options, particularly whilst equipment was being repaired or serviced. Our first rental transacted in 1978 for only a few hundred dollars.”

TechRentals’ head office is in Melbourne and the company has eight offices around Australia, two in Malaysia and three in New Zealand (as well as a distributor) to support customer requirements.

Manufacturers such as Anritsu, EXFO, Motorola, Flir, Fluke, GE, JDSU, Keysight Technologies and Megger partner with TechRentals to bring added benefits to customers.
