Alicat Scientific ATEX-approved mass flow meters and mass flow controllers

Alicat Scientific’s ATEX-approved mass flow meters and mass flow controllers are approved for hazardous environment (-X) option and are designed to be used in environments where ignitable gases are present.

The -X option can be added to any of the company’s family of flow and pressure products. The ATEX-approved device shares almost all of the standard features of the company’s flow and pressure product, omitting only the power jack and 8-pin mini din. They are replaced by the locking 6-pin industrial connector.

Its digital display allows users to monitor flow, temperature and pressure data in real time. The display also allows the user to make functional changes to the unit like changing the measured gas, setpoint control and taring without the need for digital communication or special software.

As the device consumes very little power, it passed the ATEX approval process with the display intact. This allows users of this device in hazardous environments the flexibility of having an onboard display for quick visual verification of mass flow meter or mass flow controller operation.
