The Hioki 8860/61 HiCorder series combined digital oscilloscope and data logger can be used simultaneously for high-speed (20 Msamples/s) signal acquisition and down to 50 ms scan-time logging across 16 channels.

The instrument series can be controlled via graphical interface and mouse as well as external keyboard. A factory-installed thermal printer (A4 or A6) is optionally available.

The 8860 model has four slots for input modules (16 high-speed oscilloscope channels or 64 data logger channels, or combinations); while the 8861 model has eight slots (32 high-speed oscilloscope channels or 128 data logger channels, or combinations).

Several analog input modules are available including 12- and 16-bit high-resolution, dual-channel voltage modules, as well as FFT, strain, charge-sensitive, thermocouple, frequency-to-voltage converters and clamp-on current modules. High-voltage differential probes are also available for tasks such as inverter output and power-line noise measurement.

Trigger functions include level, window, period, glitch, slope, voltage sag, and defined event count. In addition, logic pattern triggers can be initiated utilising and/or functions over four logic inputs.

Standard interfaces include USB, RJ45 (LAN) with functions such as HTTP server, FTP server and email.
