The TY700 series of handheld digital multimeters features a basic accuracy of 0.020% and 50,000 count dual display with a 51-segment bar graph, true RMS measurement and simultaneous measurement and display of DC and AC, closed-case calibration, and data management support via logging-mode memory, logging software and IR USB communication.

Two models are available — standard type TY710 with 20 kHz bandwidth and advanced type TY720 with 100 kHz bandwidth and switchable RMS/mean detection, low-pass filter, 50 mV AC range and low-power resistance measurement.

The TY720 has a logging-mode memory with a capacity of 10,000 data points, compared with 1000 for the TY710. Both products are offered with USB communication and an optional communications software package. Other functions include temperature measurement using type K thermocouples, diode test, frequency to 100 kHz and peak hold on the TY720.

The instruments conform to the EN61010-1 safety standard (1000 V CAT III, 600 V CAT IV) and have safety shutters for preventing the erroneous insertion of the test leads into the current-measurement terminals.
